JLA / Avengers Issue 3
A fanboy's delight! This issue of JLA /Avengers really showcased a lot of 'what if' scenarios for the JLA & Avengers if company cross-overs had been the norm from the beginning (i.e. the JSA meeting the Invaders during the WWII era). This issue showcases the "classic JLA" and "classic Avengers" struggling to find out why their two most respected members are acting like fight-club rejects.

Hal Jordan and Barry Allen make their appearances and pledge heroic sacrifices to set things right. Hal's short speech was especially meaningful given the "Parallax" debacle. Sort of a redemption in the eyes of Busiek and Perez...

Alas, the new generation of readers probably won't get a lot of this stuff...
